I won't be able to come to the reunion, but here's some highlights of my life since Park High. After graduating, I attended Washington University and then the University of Minnesota, where I earned a BS in English literature. I was recruited to teach English and Education courses at the U, which I did for a year, then headed West for warmer winters. For the next 14 years I lived in Northern California, where I rekindled a childhood interest in gardening and developed a landscape design and maintenance business, taught horticulture classes and became an avid home gardener. My interest in plants, science and communications led me to a graduate program at University of California, Davis and Purdue University, where I earned an M.S. in Horticulture. Since 1987, I’ve worked in horticultural communications and marketing as an editor, writer, photographer, lecturer, publicist and TV spokesperson. As chief editor of three nationally published magazines - Fine Gardening, Country Living Gardener and Organic Gardening – I’ve had the opportunity to meet fascinating people across the country. Among them was my wonderful husband, Steve Cohen, whom I married in 2002. We live in Warminster, Pennsylvania and enjoy our new life together. Currently, I work as Director of Communications for Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve in New Hope, Pennsylvania, a position that blends my passion for plants and communications. I'd like to hear from you--email me at nabeau@comcast.net

Hello Class of '65! I haven't strayed too far from SLP these past 40 years...now living in Elk River! A secret desire to be a "Parkette" (but never having the ability to dance...) has been fulfilled through my daughter who is a Radio City Rockette! My son is a dance choreographer for school/community theatre plays, so my love for theatre is fulfilled! My husband sells RV's and I work in the schools as a Community Education Secretary. We've had a blessed life so far...am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion, getting reacquainted with old friends...and meeting new ones.

My life has been filled with a wonderful family, travel, and the great joy of having my parents' book (Jack & Rochelle-A Holocaust Story of Love and Resistance) made into a play. This was a real high point for our family. Watching my parents at the premiere, which was attended by 900 people, was extraordinary. My youngest son, Danny, got married to a wondeful girl (Andrea) in the last year and a half, and my oldest son (David) bought his first townhouse. All wonderful things. I've been married to Steve for 32 years, and we are planning a wonderful cruise to the Greek Islands and Italy this fall. Life has been great. My job at General Mills is very fun and rewarding, allowing me to use my event planning skills. I'm looking forward to many more travels and adventures.

Well, it's certainly been a journey! I never graduated St. Cloud State, but finished all but 2 semesters in Elementary Ed. Got married in 1967, divorced in 1970 and went to Uranium City, Saskatchewan, to teach adult education (Business Ed) and spent 3 years there. Moved to Edmonton, Alberta where I ran a Career Center for 2 more years. Returned to Minnesota to Devac Windows; got married to a sweetheart from Hopkins High (hiss, boo) Rick Douglas in 1981. We've been married for 24 years! Praise God. I've been very involved in community theater and at Jacksonville State University. Favorite roles have been: Ouiser in Steel Magnolias and God in Everyman. (Let's not forget that God role, okay?) HA. My husband and I are active in our church, Word Alive International Outreach, and have a ministry of our own. I currently work with Alabama Cooperative Extension System as an admin. assistant - the first low-stress job I've had since 1965! Looking forward to seeing some of you - especially you, Tom Holland!

I have enjoyed a wonderful 33 years living with my husband in British Columbia. We have 2 great sons; Matthew ,age 30, is married and lives in NYC and our son Tim, age 28, lives in London, England. Great travel places. I recently took an early retirement after 17 years doing P/T teaching in the health field. Funny thing after my retirement, I became the patient needing a complete hip replacement last fall. My surgery was successful and I am now playing lots of golf and very active. I am involved in volunteer work, and help my husband with the payroll of his dental office. Life has been good to our family. We continue to do lots of travel and hopefully soon to do some volunteer work in third world countries. Unfortunately, I will be unable to attend the reunion. We will be leaving for Italy that next week and then returning to Mpls. the end of Sept. for a family wedding. Have a wonderful time.
